6 great places to donate old stuff – and it’s easier than you think!
Goodwill – Goodwill will accept almost anything, as long as it’s not in pieces or has mold. The best thing about Goodwill is that it offers job training programs and has employed over 180,000 people to date.
Salvation Army – Clothes, games, furniture, small appliances, and just about anything else. They provide community programs, disaster relief, and homeless services, and so much more.
Planet Aid – Skip going to Buffalo Exchange, where they will only take this season’s designer shoes and disregard the rest. At Planet Aid you can donate any gently used, unsoiled clothing.
Career Gear – Donate men’s suits and business wear and they will provide underserved job-seeking men with training, career counseling, interviews, and professional clothing.
Habitat For Humanity Restore – Donate any undamaged furniture to Habitat For Humanity and they will sell it to raise funds for their house building projects. The best part is THEY WILL PICK IT UP. All you have to do is call and schedule a time.
Books and Games:
International Book Project – They love to accept textbooks, encyclopedias, novels, children’s books, and any educational tools. These books are then sent to overseas to promote education and literacy.
